World War II

World War II

World War II spanned from 1939 to 1945 in Europe and from 1937 to 1945 in Asia. The largest military conflict the World has seen, it involved over 2 hundred countries and attributed to approximately 50 million deaths. Beginning when Hitler's Germany forces attacked Poland on September 1, 1939 and ending shortly after the United States dropped two atomic bombs in Japan, World War II is the most studied historical event in the 20th century. It was also the catalyst for the Holocaust -- the systematic annihilation of approximately 6 million Jews by Nazi forces.

Schindler's List  is a cinematic masterpiece that has become one of the most honored World War II films of all time. Schindler's List presents the true story of Oskar Schindler, Nazi party member, womanizer, and war profiteer who saved the lives of over 1,100 Jews during the Holocaust. It is the triumph of one man who made a difference, and the drama of those who survived one of the darkest chapters in human history because of what he did.
