Oscar Schindler has to come to be known as one of the righteous gentiles who helped save the lives of Jewish people during the Holocaust of World War II. However, Oscar Schindler came a long way to earn this honor. He is also often characterized as a womanizer, war profiteer, Nazi party member, gambler and black-marketer. Although Schindler was far from a saint, he worked hard and spent his fortune to save his Jews, 'Schindlerjuden' from the concentration camps and SS police forces of Nazi Germany.
