Holocaust Denial

Holocaust Denial

Holocaust denial usually refers to publications or personal beliefs that attest that the Holocaust either did not happen or was not nearly as bad as historians and researchers claim.

Many people engaged in holocaust denial may disagree with some of the following Holocaust facts:

  • 6 million Jews were killed -- Holocaust deniers may say this number is exaggerated
  • Gas was used to kill man Jews - Some Holocaust deniers believe that these claims of gas chambers are false
  • Nazi's planned the Genocide - Holocaust denial would refute that the mass killings was a plan to eliminate the Jews
  • Holocaust Denial and the Importance of Education

It is important to educate people about the Holocaust to help combat Holocaust denial. Films such as Schindler's List play a pivotal role in dispelling the theories of Holocaust deniers. Schindler's List presents the true story Oskar Schindler, one time Nazi party member, who spent his fortune saving Jews from the genocide orchestrated by the Nazi party during World War II.
