In all, Auschwitz concentration camp comprised of: Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II Birkenau, and Auschwitz III along with 50 sub-camps built for special purposes, sometimes to provide labor for neighboring factories. The entire area was surrounded by electric barbed wire fences.
